We do everything, from totally rebuilding antiques to repolishing the likes of modern day table, desk etc.. Everything connected to timber and furniture. The majority of antiques now days are in a bad state of disrepair due to age, modern day heating systems and general neglect. We would always endeavour to keep an antique the way it was when it was first made, say 100 years ago.
Over restoring can lead to the demise of the value of a piece so it is crucial that the certain item is “sympathetically” restored, keeping as much of its original character as possible.
Modern day furniture also requires restoration or repolishing. Dining room tables are frequent visitors to our workshops! We can strip back most things back to the bare timber, sand, stain if necessary and repolish in suitable colour and finish. It doesn’t have to be old to need repolishing!
