Whilst not everyone has 4 or 5 years to spare to join an apprenticeship scheme to become a French polisher, under the careful eye of either Brian Drummond or Conor Drummond, we will show you the basic skills required to master the art of French polishing.
We don’t expect you to open a rival French polishing firm at any stage , but for the enthusiastic hobbyist we can provide an insight and set you on your way to enjoying the satisfaction that comes with French polishing. From the basic skills of stripping timber, to the fine art of rubbering you will be introduced to the world of furniture and restoration.
Classes commence at 9.30am with a short introductory informal chat and lead on throughout the day showing different stages of furniture restoration. At the end of the day you will be presented with a small certificate showing that you have now the basic knowledge in the field of French polishing and restoration.
Course dates will vary month to month depending on the availability of either Brian or Conor.
Please fill out the contact form and we will respond letting you know availability or further course dates. Course numbers will be maxed at 5 people per class. Unfortunately due to the high demand of this course a short wait may happen.
